Experience

Captain Mark Lamping has been fishing for more than 30 years with the past 12 years specifically in Clear Lake, Taylor Lake, Clear Creek, and Galveston Bay waters. Captain Mark recently retired from a successful career in the energy sector to dedicate himself to sharing his experience and passion for fishing with others.

Education

One of the key differentiators between Clear Lake Fishing Charters and the other guys is the educational piece we provide. We offer exceptional, traditional fishing guide services as well as Fishing University (Fishing U), where we teach the basics of water safety, fishing, and boating in a classroom setting before heading out to the waters to fish.

Flexibility

Our captain loves to serve all anglers, from beginners seeking their first catch to more experienced guests who want to bring their own gear and GPS coordinates. Our captain will only be as hands on as needed to ensure the best opportunity to catch the most fish possible.

Certifications

Our captain:

  • Holds a United States Coast Guard Master Captain’s License for uninspected and inspected vessels up to 25 Gross Tons
  • Holds a Texas Parks and Wildlife All-Water Fishing Guide license
  • Is certified in United States Coast Guard-specific First Aid, CPR, and AED
  • Is a certified Boat Safety Instructor
